"Fire as a destructive force. Fire as a creative force. Dark and light. This aspen fragment was found in the Lakit Lake area. I saw it at a distance and was struck by the sharp contrast of the two tones. Areas that have seen wildfire often have these statuesque survivors of the flames force. Beauty from chaos."
