The Messenger

"Why don't I just paint from a photograph? I ask myself this question all the time! I always start off very abstractly and before I know it, images appear faintly and call on me to figure out what the painting is about. I have quit fighting the urge to deny what is coming through. I just go along with it. The title, "The Messenger" came to me immediately once that bird appeared. Maybe I am the bird. I certainly feel that my paintings all hold messages for whoever sees them. We all deserve a world filled with love, peace and acceptance. That is my message."
