Rooted V

“I regularly wander off trail when I’m exploring new ground. I am always on the lookout for interesting natural forms, often root structures that have long been exposed to the elements. The grain structure and sap content preserves these elements while the rest of the tree decomposes. I marvel at the flow and interconnection of these natural sculptures. This root form was found on Crown land near the Cranbrook International airport. You may notice that the glass has minor chips or scratches: hard earned patina from years of active service as arena glass."
