Perch II

“This piece captures so much of the process of creating that I take pleasure in. The wandering and forest combing that leads to the discovery of intriguing natural forms shaped in nature and by nature and time. Then the waiting for the right combination of pieces to companion each other and be united. These two wood pieces were gathered at different times and places. The base first and the bird form more recently. In the varied clutter of my shop having a Aha moment of seeing that these two might work together. Then the experimenting with angles and leg forms that work to connect the two forms. Creating the 'Perch'."
