Dis-Chord II

"It has been a summer of learning about pianos. This is the second piano, whose parts I have salvaged, after being roughly discarded. The craftsmanship continues to amaze me - so many small and intricate moving parts in creating the voice of the instrument. This piano was completed on August 28, 1910 and is a Heintzman & Co. instrument, made in Canada. A picture of the piano’s harp is included: a lovely sculptural form in and of itself.  You may notice that the glass has minor chips or scratches: hard earned patina from years of active service as arena glass.”
