Art Gallery Kimberley at “The Laundromat” has been a wonderful home for local artists and art lovers, a space where the Kimberley community and visitors could discover, experience, and collect original artwork. After a good spin, the gallery closed its doors permanently on September 13, 2026.

Thank You, and Goodbye (For Now)

This is it, the end of an era. The last of the remaining artwork will be picked up this week, and with that, this door closes.

The question I get asked often these days is "What are you going to do?" My usual answer is "I have no idea!" The truth is, I have lots of ideas. They're all floating around in my head, and I just haven't lined them up quite yet.

One thing is certain: I'll stay involved in our area's art community in one way or another. I'll keep working with the CKCA's arts and culture grant adjudication steering committee, and I'll be volunteering with the Kimberley Clay Collective, getting my hands covered in clay.

As soon as the pottery studio at Centre 64 reopens, I'll be there trying to get five years of pent-up creative inspiration out of my system. Working with so many amazing artists has inspired and encouraged me to keep playing, creating and learning new things.

For now, I'm focused on getting "The Laundromat" ready to rent. The space in the back will become a studio and office for moi (exciting!), with an additional office space on the stage. The 1,350 square foot front section is available for rent now. If you know anyone looking for a great home for their business, please help us spread the word!

To every artist who shared their artwork, every visitor who wandered in, every art collector who purchased, every participant who attended an event, every friend who helped out, and every supporter who cheered us on: thank you so much! You helped make Art Gallery Kimberley what it was, and you made these years some of the most rewarding I could have asked for. I'm grateful for each of you. I hope to see you around town!
