Karen MacDonald

Karen MacDonald is a self-taught, multi-passionate artist, based in Fernie, BC. Drawn to the insignificant and overlooked, Karen creates with upcycled materials, found objects, collage, paint, and stitch.

Originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, Karen has been innovative from an early age. Her active imagination and make-believe Barbie worlds allowed her to construct or invent anything.

After moving to Fernie, BC, she began working with the Fernie Visual Artists and has continued to experiment and develop her style with online learning and workshops.
