Music of the Night
"In this painting the skier is stopped and awestruck by the magical display of Northern Lights! We are fortunate here in the Kootenays to witness this dance on rare occasions. I have incorporated the theme, Unusual Angles, in the much exaggerated painting style that I have chosen to express the ineffable and fantastical nature of the Aurora Borealis! The title was borrowed from Andrew Lloyd Webber who wrote The Music of the Night for the Phantom of the Opera. I thought it, fitting. Thank you, Irma and company, for considering my painting for this exhibition."
