Baloo the Bear

Baloo the Bear

"Black Bears are good at climbing trees because of their 2" curved claws.  It's very unusual to see a bear in a tree, however.  They typically only climb trees if they are looking for food or running away from another predator.  The photo that inspired this painting was taken by my friend Betty Wilkinson of Kimberley, B.C. in her backyard!"
