Janet Moore

Janet Moore is a Fernie-based oil painter whose work is rooted in her life as an avid hiker, biker, and snowboarder. She frequently paints en plein air, working directly in the landscapes that inspire her—a practice that allows her to capture not just how a place looks, but how it feels to stand within it.
Janet’s paintings reflect both the raw energy of the natural world and her personal connection to the environments she inhabits. Her work has been recognized at the national level: she is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists and a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
Whether you’re a longtime admirer of Janet’s work or a newcomer, this is a show that will move you—and perhaps change the way you think about water and the importance of protecting these inspiring places.
