"Inspired by the expression in the eyes of this bear, is what I found captivating. his look of annoyance and irritability was relatable for me, as I am sure i display the same look when interrupted while I am immersed in my painting. This painting was the first painting I entered into a juried art competition and was recognized with an award. I submitted it within minutes of the deadline, unsure if I was ready for something like this. But hey, taking risks keeps life interesting, regardless of whether or not you're successful!"
