Cecilia Lea

I am mostly a landscape artist, with my choice of medium being oil paints. I love to paint plein air whenever I can. Sitting outside and dealing with the weather, shadows and usually insects, is a challenge, but it enthralls me. I was a climber and hiker from way back. I still get out now, for shorter distances, and gather my material for future paintings, taking many digital photos, sketching, or doing a plein air painting, when I can. My style is traditional and realistic. Nature is so perfectly beautiful that I feel the need to represent it as closely as possible. I’ve been painting for over 30 years now, have loved the journey, and still have many years left to enjoy, and immerse myself in this wonderful world of colour, shape, and light.
